Vases are the easiest way to completely change the personality of a room without buying new furniture. Here are the five silhouettes our Denver buyers are fighting over right now.
- The “Wonky” vase – intentionally imperfect rims and soft curves
- The “Dipped” two-tone (matte terracotta bottom, glossy sage top)
- The 36″+ floor sculpture vase that needs zero flowers
- The micro vase (under 5″) for single-stem drama
- Hand-painted stripes that look like they were done in the 1970s (but aren’t)
Behind our sold-out Santa Fe Collection Last fall we rented an adobe studio outside Taos and spent two weeks throwing clay with potter Elena Reyes. We made exactly 300 vases. They sold out in 9 hours. The next drop is February 14th and we’re doubling production — but it still won’t be enough.
Golden styling rules from our photo team
- Always use odd numbers (3 or 5, never 2 or 4)
- Mix heights dramatically: 6″ + 18″ + 36″ is magic
- Leave at least one vase empty — negative space is the new flower
- Place the tallest vase off-center for natural movement
